EC created a fictional world where the humanity is more accepting than the reality. The characters are free to express themselves may it be through their genders, sexualities, fashion sense, social standing, orientations, and everything else that may be deemed as rebellious in the reality.

Some of EC’s characters aren’t always aligned with the world they live in. They can be mean, offensive, ignorant, and such. If the readers are aware of how anime stans socialize, the readers would understand why the characters are written like that.

The readers are free to turn down EC’s novels in case the reader doesn’t like how EC’s world, characters, and plot work. The way EC write their novels may not fit a vanilla person’s taste.
